THE Racing Kindergarten lists all 2YO winners this season under their sires with a lot of other useful information. An explanation of the format is as follows:
Ordinary winners are shown in light face type and stakes winners are indicated with an asterisk and bold type. The list is in alphabetical order by SIRE of the winner (not by the winners themselves) and is cumulative from the start of the current season.
Value of prizemoney to the winner of the race is shown. If the figure 1 appears in brackets [1] it indicates that this is the sire¹s 1st individual 2YO winner this season. Other winners by that sire may be in the current issue or they will have appeared in a previous issue of the magazine. For example if the number [6] appears it indicates that there have been 5 previous 2YO winners by the sire this season. If they are not in this issue, then they appear in a previous issue.
An example is:
*RIBALD, B c 2000, Strategic-Hosiery, by Night Shift (USA). [1], 28-Sep-2002: AJC, (Warwick Farm), $48,750.
*RIBALD (Name of winner, asterisk and bold face type, indicates it won a stakes race), B (colour) c (sex) 2000 (year of foaling), Strategic (sire of the winner - these are in alphabetical order)-Hosiery (name of dam), by Night Shift (sire of dam) (bred in USA) [Note: no country suffix after sire, dam or broodmare sire indicates bred in Australia]. [1] (this is the first individual 2YO winner by the sire this season, 28-Sep-2002 (date the horse won): AJC, (Warwick Farm) (club and track where city meeting conducted), [Note: for provincial and overseas races the track and state or country are shown] $48,750 (prizemoney collected for this single victory).
