LONHRO has matured and developed into a strong, beautifully conformed and admirably amenable individual this autumn.

The Chipping Norton Stakes was his third race and third win this autumn and each win has been progressively more easily and impressively accomplished.

This was the best field of the three although a number were preparing for later races. Freemason was slowly away and Dress Circle ambled to the lead. Beadman on Freemason was not happy with a slow pace and went fast on Freemason to set a decent speed for stablemate Lonhro. The son of Octagonal circled the field on turn and sprinted quickly for a soft win. For a few strides it looked as though Shogun Lodge would go with him and he finished gallantly for his eighth Gr.1 second. Dress Circle hung on for third.

Republic Lass who was resuming did not get clear run in straight. She came home well when she got clear for fourth, and put the writing on the wall for her autumn assignments.
